I'm trying something new today... A How-To video blog about making a timelapse movie with your iPhone. Check out the video and then see the finished product below. You'll need three things:
- iPhone that is secure and stable so it doesn't move
- TimeLapse app
- iPhoto
Here's how the final product turned out. I sped it up in iMovie HD (yes, the old version).

And, I made another one of the George Washington Bridge from 155th Street and Riverside Drive in NYC.
- Outside your window
- On your bike handlebars
- During a big family dinner
Then try narrating a short piece against the images.

Just saw this nice Sunrise on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxjdTr9gwWM

Okay, why can't we just take the pictures and compile them in a timelapse movie on our PC?

The iPod program allows you to leave the camera alone and walk away.
The iPhoto program combines everything together with one click.
Isn't that cool?

Thanks for the comment. Well, yes you could. The advantage I see for this is that the app controls the camera and takes the pictures for you (at an interval that you set) and then iPhoto makes the movie with 2 mouse clicks.
I just think it's neat.
